Friulia, four decades serving the Regional economy
Friulia is a key player in the economic history of Friuli Venezia Giulia Region
Friulia has always supported the growth and development of the enterprises operating in the Region. Friulia has been partner of many industrial organisations from their incorporation to their listing on the Stock Exchange.
Since its creation in 1967, the Regional Finance Company implemented 1500 projects in over 700 enterprises, always driving development and innovation. As investor, Friulia supported the financial capacity of its participated companies, fostering investments in their growth. Friulia action has always been comparable to the work of a consultant who operates to identify the best opportunities. For this reason, the Finance Company of Friuli Venezia Giulia Region offers to collaborate with local enterprises, acting as analyst to assess industrial plans and development models or as financial partner sensitive to market and business requirements, according to enterprise needs.
The endowment funds available to Friulia are those defined in the early '80s without any subsequent addition, for this reason its commitment has been to invest them with reasonable and highly sustainable risk and remuneration levels, achieving results in terms of "non-performing loans" much better than the national financial system, that in the last few years, have reached about one third of the losses compared to the national banking system.
With its fixed revolving fund Friulia has adapted its actions and its products to the requirements of the regional economic-industrial environment, by implementing a specific model, based on a participatory and non invasive finance provided on advantageous terms although very strict on compliance with the agreements made and on targeting the objectives.
In this context, Friulia plays the role of "development agency" both as an interface between the company and the local administrations and as an “active partner” in providing the company in which it holds a stake with attention and resources to devote to merger and internationalisation processes and to those modifying the operating made.
